What all will I have to do in order to get my th350 to bolt up to the crossmember, due to my 86 firebird originally coming with a 700r4 tranny? What OTHER options do I have besides ordering a tranny adapter kit from Jegs?

I hate to say it, but order the adapter kit. Otherwise you will go crazy trying to make it work.

Okay thanks, that's basically what everyone else keeps telling me. I've also heard that I can take it to a local shop and have them make a steel plate and drill holes through it, but the price was way higher than just ordering the parts. Jeez Louise, guess I have no choice.

You have a choice, but to be able to get the parts that are designed for this will make your life much easier.

Let me know how it turns out for you.
