Hey, My fiero idles very high at 2.5 rpm, it used to idle at 1.5. It won't idle down for about 10 mins, and if I drive it before it idles down it gets really shaky and doesn't drive good. Any tips?

Check for vacuum leaks. If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned for trouble codes. (I believe they had the OBD1 in 86).

The check engine light isn't on and after I've drove it and turn it off for about an hour, I start it and it idles high at 2.5 rpm but then I press the gas and it goes down to 1.5 rpm, do you think it could be the idle control valve?

It could be. It could be a simple vacuum leak too. Please bear with me. It's is difficult when the car isn't in front of me. I would recommend checking for vacuum leaks. If you don't find any, then I would move to the control valve.

Ok, I checked the whole engine, no vacuum leaks, and I was just wondering, how do you clean the idle control valve? And how much is a new sensor?
