Fuel pump relay works in other plug ins, but not in the designated plug. Electrical tester reads 12v when plugged into the fuel pump plug, however, the plug will not turn over the working relay.
The fuel pump will turn on if the plug is jumped over without the relay plugged in. The question at hand is, why does a brand new relay not engage power to turn on the fuel pump, but being jumped does?

The relay has two parts. You're jumping the contacts but forgetting about the coil that actuates those contacts. I'm looking for a wiring diagram, but until then, you have to look at the two coil terminals in the socket. Typically one will have 12 volts and the other one gets grounded by the Engine Computer or oil pressure switch to turn the relay on.
