1986 Nissan Hardbody Pickup D21 3 0l Engine 6cy 4x4 Been Parked Number

I have a 1986 Nissan hardbody pickup , D21 3.0L engine 6cy. 4x4 . She has been parked for a number of years 5,or 6 years. Anyway , I replaced the fuel pump , spark plugs , plug wires, filters etc. , . She'll start up with no problem but when she starts the idel automatically rises as high as it can go seems like . It's not the acellerator cable , and i've changed the Air Flow Meter , . However when i start it w/o the AFM it run quietly ( bumpy but quiet ) then i plug in the AFM , it shuts down . Any advice would be greatly apreciated .
