Two Questions: Car thermostat always reads cold, but car gets heat...what else could it be? Second question, car tachometer has stopped working, what now?

3.0 L enjine....all fuses checked, getting heat in car, incoming and outgoing hoses from radiator feel hot. Tachometer: can not find any broken fuses, don't know where to go next....

Your help is greatly appreciated.

The tachometer and temperature gauge readings indicates a possibility of a loose wire conncection at the meter cluster. They should be related.
