I have a 1986 Lincoln Mark VII. After resting in park at a stop light, I tried to shift back into drive only to find that my shifter now slides freely through all gears. The car starts, but it is stuck in park and won't 'lock in' to any other gear. I can manually shift from under the car, but cannot seem to find a fix. Help!
