I have an 86 CJ7 that keeps stalling in neutral or in first after coming to a stop with clutch in?

i would look at the iac motor and make sure the throttle body is clean. beyond that, the egr may be stuck open as well.

OK....this is sorta what I do best!
ASEMaster6371, was just testin' you......You have a carb, probably a BBD w/ a stepper motor stuck in the back......may not want it in the future, but lets see what's going on here!
Do you have a repair manual?
Want to know all scheduled maintenance you have done....or neglected?
Want to know what sorta condition your 25 yr.old youngster is in?
Do they check your emissions where you live?
Can you send pics of your stuff?
Are you able to perform work and tasks?
Do you play well with others?
Do you have tools, including tune up meters etc?
