enter your question...My 86 holden commodore overheated on the weekend. Now I have an oil leak. Could it be a head gasket?

It could be leaking from anywhere. You need to get engine cleaner, clean the engine off and then drive it to see if you can tell where it is coming from. Do that and let me know what you find.

I have cleaned the engine and found oil coming out from behind the drive pulley on the crankshaft. Probably a blown seal. Is it still ok to drive short runs?

Just make sure the oil level is full. Also, make sure the oil isn't hitting anything hot enough to cause a fire. (I don't know how bad the leak is).
