1986 Ford Ranger Stalls in hot weather

Will start after it sits for a while, then stalls again. Stalls in hot weather. Runs great in cool weather. I've replaced the module, doesn't seem to be working. Acts like its out of gas.

The first thing is to determine if you're losing spark when the stalling occurs. If you are, the pickup coil inside the distributor is the most likely suspect. This type of sensor often fails by becoming heat-sensitive, then will work again once it cools down, typically in about an hour.
