1986 Ford Mustang Clutch of Transmission Noise

My clutch or transmission make a grinding noise when released in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear, but not in 5th. What do you think is the problem? It sounds like something is coming apart, but it continued to move without the clutch slipping.

Would say failed counter shaft bearings
