When I try to drive forwards it just slides along pavement. In reverse it drives just fine, it happens in both first and second gear. Manual hubs are unlocked but did some driving in four wheel yesterday. Took the wheel off and my brakes are pretty shitty and rubbing but aint stopping it in neutral. Only occurring when in gear trying to go forwards.

LET'S GET A LITTLE MORE INFO, IN A BETTER ORDER!

YOU GOT A MANUAL TRANNY

IT DRAGS A WHEEL? MORE THAN ONE?

HAVE YOU RECENTLY DONE SOMETHING WITH THE BRAKES?

DOES IT SEEM TO BE A TRANNY PROBLEM OR BRAKES?

WHAT DOES IT DO IN 2WD AS OPPOSED TO 4WD?

HAVE YOU TAKEN EACH DRIVE SHAFT OFF (ONE AT A TIME) AND TRIED DRIVING IN 2WD OR 4WD?

JACKED IT UP (FRONT, THEN BACK WHEELS UP) AND MANUALLY SPUN THE WHEELS TO SEE IF A DIFFERENTIAL MAY BE LOCKING UP ON YOU?

Just drags the front passenger side, no my breaks are just bad (not stopping wheel tho) feels like tranny I think, 2wd and 4wd just drags that tire along, havent taken anything apart other than taking wheel off to check if it was brakes. And just the one wheel that wont spin.

YOU SAY THE BRAKES ARE NOT IN THE BEST OF SHAPE

EXPLAIN THIS A BIT BETTER

"and rubbing but aint stopping it in neutral."

MY SUSPICIONS ARE THE CALIBER IS "LOCKING UP" (PISTON) / I'VE SEEN THE TABS ON THE ENDS TUCK INTO THE BRACKETS (PUSH THRU THE ENDS) ON SUPER NEGLECTED BRAKE PADS (METAL BACKINGS WORN INTO NOTHINGNESS)

OR MAYBE YOUR BRAKE HOSE IS KINKED / TWISTED

---OR THE BRAKE HOSE IS INTERNALLY DAMAGED AND IS SORTA "CHECK VALVING" ALLOWING FLUID "IN", BUT NOT BACK OUT

MR. WHEEL BEARING MIGHT ALSO EXHIBIT THESE SYMPTOMS, THE ROLLERS WILL CRUNCH AND LOCK IN ONE DIRECTION, THEN UN-CRUNCH AND MOVE IN THE OTHER (FOR A LITTLE BIT ANYWAY)

Alright, I just replaced the bearings, rotors, pads, and outer hub. The hub workes fine locking and unlocking the axle. Everything spins free when jacked up but as soon as I lower it to the ground it wont spin forwards. When on the ground axle spins freely by hand but the damn wheel wont turn.

DROPPING THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT AND A FORWARD ROLL MIGHT ELIMINATE (OR INCLUDE) THE TRANSFER CASE BEING THE ISSUE

BUT AFTER READING YOUR LAST POST

I'M GOING WITH DOOR #1 AS Hmac300 MENTIONED, I THINK YOU HAVE A LOCKED UP DIFFERENTIAL

'COURSE DOOR #2 STILL COULD BE THE ISSUE, WON'T KNOW FOR SURE 'LESS YOU DROP THE SHAFT
