When I start the engine the fan belt squeels for a couple of seconds. How do I stop it squeeling?

You sure its the belt that's making the squeal or its the tensioner-Double check-if its the belt check belt for worn/frayed, others such as the alternator/steering pump can squeal too if bearings are bad

Check the belt tension and condition. If the belt is still in good condition, adjusting the belt tension should stop the noise.
