I am looking at a 1986 Ford Bronco, he has told me that it needs the piston rings fixed. Could someone tell me how much that repair could be? Please get back to me, thanks!

That is a major engine repair, and it's so involved you might as well plan on a total rebuild. You can get an estimate from a local repair shop that's willing to tackle this job. They usually go by a "flat rate" guide that spells out the times for each procedure, then they multiply that by their shop's hourly labor rate. You're going to find the cost is way more than the vehicle is worth.

The first thing you want to do is get a proper diagnosis. You didn't list the symptoms or how the need for new rings was diagnosed, so I'm skeptical the rings are worn already at the miles you listed.
