I have an electrical problem. Something keeps shorting out my alternator, I am assuming its the cables but I know nothing about replacing the wires i dont even know of thats the problem. The battery is new, alternator is new, starter is new. The wires and connections are old. Please advise...

Can't happen, . . .well, shorting out at least, but repeat failures can occur but that's mainly a big GM problem. What exactly is happening to the generators and how many have you gone through? New, rebuilt, or used ones? What's the symptom when they fail?
