Carburetor engine will not start. If you put gas in carburetor starts then shuts off. We have a new fuel pump and filter on it.

See if the accelerator pump in the carburetor is working. Hold open the choke, look down the carburetor air horn then snap the throttle open quickly one time and you should see gas squirt down into each barrel.

Purchase the carburetor rebuild kit and replace the accelerator pump. It is usually a rubber diaphragm or a rubber cup, and make sure the check ball is not stuck, too. Normally the rebuild kit comes with all the instructions.
