it will not shift into 4th but it is a 4 speed

it has a 350 gm moter just put in not to long ago and it just recently sstoped shifting into 4th gear it is a 1986 chevy monte carlo ss

it goes to 3rd but wont kick into overdrive

inspect check test wiring to trans. my 90 only has 2 wires to trans plug in front area.
