Runs smooth idling and reving engine parked. When I put the car in drive, runs fine. When I put the hammer down from a dead stop she wants to die but never stalls. When I let up on the pedal she will run good again. It's almost like it would act if it might be running out of gas. The boy that is wanting to sell it to me says that it has a new fuel pump on it. And was told the problem was trash in the fuel tank. Yes the car has been driven little in passed 18 months.

Good point, Raz. Is the car fuel injected or does it have a carb? Also, if fuel injected, has the fuel pump pressure been checked?

Thank you for your response. The car has a throttle body carburetor I don't know if that means its fuel injected or not. I know what regular fuel injection is. I've never messed with a throttle body carburetor. Had Cadillac that did that and fuel pump solved the problem because it was pressure related but I don't know about the the throttle body carburetor.
