Hood won't open

When I try to open the hood by pressing the release button on the inside of the car, nothing happens. It's leaking oil and I think maybe trans fluid so I really need to open it to check. I can't even move it or get it into gear, HELP!!!

your cable may be broke, you'll have to try to get under the car to release it manually.
