no acceleration and speed

Car revs just fine in driveway but when trying to drive car won't accelerate and won't go over about 30mph but doesn't redline as if stuck in gear

Check auto oil, check for fault codes if all ok, get it tested first hand by a trans tech or a mechanic, there may b e an internal valving problem that needs attention.
