How long does the transmission dipstick need to be for a 1985 trans am?

I have a 700 r4 transmission in the car and I was wondering will the dipstick from a 400 trans or a turbo 350 trans, work or does it have to be for the 700 r4? And how long does the dipstick have to be?

no, they will not interchange. I would try a trans shop or a junkyard for a stick. it is a common trans.
