1985 Pontiac Sunbird Working On 1 8l Suddenly Started Rev Way Tuned Off Car

I am working on a 1985 pontiac sunbird 1.8l and it suddenly started to rev way up, I tuned off the car and pushed it back to my house, and when i looked at it, it looked like the fuel injector was dumping way too much gas into the engine, so I replaced the Fuel Injector but when I put the car back together it continued to rev way up. What is causing this problem?

check the throttle cable and the throttle body.
