My car is very low mileage, I just did an oil and air filter change and since then the water temp has risen to midway point and hovers just over provided I'm moving. Before it used to always show just over the quarter mark?
I also noticed a tiny amount of oil in a trap in the air filter housing? Is this normal?

May be worth getting the radiator cleaned and flushing the cooing system, as for the oil if it just a short trip car, it may just be a case of getting it serviced and taking it for the odd longer drive, constant short trips can cause excessive condensation and this can carry oil vapour and deposit in in the breather system.
