No but a guy said with a adapter you can mount a gm 350 trans. I read a guy was making this adapter on the web. But lost the web site.I have seen it done in a pic. To a inline 6--4.2 in a 1985 jag.

Also in my 1985 xj6 auto 4.2 my reverse is out. Can this be fixed by me or will I need to pull it out to fix it? And send it in to a shop? The trany fluid is good, and all fwd gears work good and no slipping. Can you help me?

If you can pull it out, take it to a trans shop and the cost of the repair will be a lot lower.
