how can i put a gm trans 350 in a 1987 xj6 the reverse is out

reverse is out and i want to put in a gm turbo 350 w/wo overdrive do i need a converter ?

no but a guy said with a adapter you can mount a gm 350 trans. i read a guy was making this adapter on the web . but lost the web site .i have seen it done in a pic. to a inline 6--4.2 in a 1985 jag.

also in my 1985 xj6 auto 4.2 my reverse is out.can this be fixed by me or will i need to pull it out to fix it ? and send it in to a shop? the trany fluid is good ,and all fwd gears work good and no slipping.can you help me.?

if you can pull it out, take it to a trans shop and the cost of the repair will be a lot lower.
