tranny problems

1985 prelude 2.0 si slips reverse and 2nd gear when driving w/in operating temperature, but works fine when car still cold. any suggestions? car also "shakes" when accelerating from standstill

Low fluid level and/or a failing transmission are likely possibilities.

you need a gearbox or a repairment of the gearbox. probably would be the trasmision disks.
