1985 Gmc Truck Put Into Drive Push On Gas Pedal Will Move Ve Tried Reverse

When I put my truck into drive and push on the gas pedal the truck will not move..I've tried reverse as well as second or first gear but nothing seems to matter...is the transmission fixable or could it be something else minor ??

check the fluid level, beyond that it sounds like an internal failure in the trans and it would have to be removed to inspect for the failure
