Starting 85 Bronco

Have a 85 full size bronco and starts fine whan cold but when it warms up it turns over slow have changed starter and new battery and changed wire from battery to starter solinod. Does not always drag or turn over slow after starting but most of the time but when cools off start just fine.

What weight of oil do you use? That old of a vehicle may have worn bearings that allow some binding to occur during start. Do you ever momentarily hear a dull knucking/thudding sound after hot starts?
