truck runs good for first 5miles approx and then it spits and sputters and cannot keep itself started what is the problem,,

Check fuel flow from the pump. If it's low, suspect a collapsing fuel pickup strainer in the gas tank. Sometimes if you remove the gas cap and remove the inlet line from the pump, you can give a shot of compressed air into the line and blow the plugged sock off the tube.

A replacement screen is about four bucks.
