85 caddy-starter good- turn key and starter not work. Checked fuses, starter. Only.56 volts on solenode wire when key turned to start

Check fuse # 13 underdash fuse box. Check for voltage key in start if still.56 then ignition swicth is suspect

I guess its a rear wheel drive?If you have no alarms or anything to interrupt the start signal. Then check the voltage at the ingnition switch on the steering column. Check start signal voltage.
