My vehicle will not start after sitting up for a time period. It started and was good. But, now it only cranks, however, the engine does start running.

Very well, now what is the problem? It does not run or start?

it does not start however the engine does turn over.

The engine needs fuel and spark and compression to run. Check the fuel pressure and see if there is spark, start here.
