Hello, I am currently thinking of investing in a 1984 Porsche 944. The problem though is the car receives no spark. The current owner does no have the key to the Porsche so instead he stripped the key switch and wired in a push button start. With the push button he has gotten the car to roll over, but still with no spark. He believes it could be the alarm system, but he is unsure.

Could be any number of things and be aware that you may find that this switch has the accessory activatwed my a micro switch activated by pushing in the key. no spark may be a faulty ignition moduel.

Thanks for the information. I think I am gonna have to unfortunately have to pass on the Porsche, I just don't have the kind of money to pay for a Porsche lifestyle especially since it has been hard to find an exact problem on this car.

Once again thank you for the info.
