The O2 senson light has been on in my car for about 2 weeks. The car has been recertly been tuned up and is running great with the expected full economy expected. Could this be just a faulty light?

The O2 sensors are designed to tell the car's computer the content of exhaust. That information is used to adjust fuel mixture. Most times, you will get a rough idle, poor fuel economy, and other driveability issues. Keep in mind, if the engine is running rich (too much fuel), it can damage other items such as the catalytic converter.

The proper way to check O2 sensors is with a live scanner that reads what is happening while the engine is running. There are perameters that the sensor must stay in.
