1984 Mazda Rx7 Starts Runs Backfires Told Afterburner Valve Blew Muffler Off

Starts and runs but backfires. I was told it was an afterburner valve ( blew my muffler off) but cant seem to locate the part
any help would be a great help. Would love to drive it again

i hope you didn't really beleive that. There isn't an afterburner valv on that car. You may have been told it was an exasut valve that isn't working or stuck. Check to see if cam is worn or a badplug wire or a bad / burnt valves.
