It's very rare for that link to burn open unless at least two diodes are shorted in the alternator or you accidentally short that point to ground so there's no reason to use a fuse. Plus fuse links take a while to open up whereas a fuse will pop instantly if there's a momentary overload.
If you still want to use a fuse, you'll probably be stuck using a bolt-in type. I've never seen one of those maxi fuses larger than 50 amps. The bolt-in style is used for this application on a lot of newer cars. I'd search the salvage yards for a 120 amp.
