thencheck the neutral safety switch on bottom of column probably bad that is why it won't start

How do you change neutral safety switch on a 84 GMC Sierra

unplug it, undo bolts, remove switch, put switch into little lever that sticks up if there is a pin for it then pull the pin install bolts plug back in . ADJUSTMENT MAY BE REQUIRED.
