Overheated will crank won't start gets gas

The radiator cap was left off and truck overheated and blew water all over, truck cranks, and gets gas, just won't catch (start) Limited on funds and only vehicle hoping easy repair I might be able to do myself

If your computer controlled, check for applicable trouble codes. Use a gage and check fuel pressure, what you see may only be the initial prime? Engine cranking, visually check for spark at the spark plugs. You may need to check compression.
