I have a 1984 dodge w250 4x4 with a 318 that starts then dies after about 20 seconds. What are the possible causes of this?

I have replace the ballast resistor, coil, timing chain, and have regapped the pick-up coils inside the distributor what am I missing that could cause this.
It also stops running quicker if I step on the gas it bogs out instantly

Are you sure you're losing spark? Sounds more typical of a plugged pickup screen in the gas tank. Once it stalls, peek down the carburetor and work the throttle to see if any fuel is spraying in.

Does this truck have a mechanical fuel pump and carburator? Or is is electric fuel pump and fuel injected?
