Hello, My celebrity revs up high when you start it. If you press down the pedal it will idle down. Its more prominent in the winter. We have to let it sit for at least five minutes after starting because if we take off in it any earlier it could die. I was told that it needs to warm up because its a carburetor engine. Is this a problem or normal?

No, it sounds like the choke needs to be adjusted. Even though it has a carb, a properly adjusted choke should take care of things just fine.
