My hearse wont go over 20 MPH ???

I fix the timing and now it struggles on 2nd gear or sometimes it wont shift and stay's on second. I change out the spark plugs and wires still same problem. the carb is fine got it check. i cant find the problem. Any idea why this is happening?

What did you do to fix the timing and what timing are you refering to?
