Engine Performance problem
1983 Subaru DL 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual
ok, a fresh rebuilt engine in a 1983 Sub DL w/4 sp dual range trans. Ran well after replacing motor THEN it started bogging down and stalling while only going uphill. I can back up the hill no problem. Gas tank is full, it has had Heat run through the tank. There is a new fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter and rebuilt carb (hitachi). Thought that it might be a stuck float. So, therefor the rebuild.
Again this only happens going up a hill frontwards. it happens in any gear 2 or 4 wd hi or low.
