Gearbox configuration

I am just after clarification on the configuration, I know where 1st, 5th and reverse are but the other 3 gears are very similar and there is no major difference in revving sounds (it has no tacho)

no more simple than that, the layout as in

1 2 4
R 3 5 that is how I think it is but im after clarification

To get reverse you need to push the stick in, across left then down. 1st is top left, 5th bottom right. the top right gear which I assume is 4th revs loudly at any speed
