Where are the timing marks on the 993cc three cylinder engine?
What tension are the head bolts tightened down to?

Cylinder head bolts are tightened in three steps to 40-47 ft.lbs (54-64 n.M.). Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

How do you release the tension on the timing belt so that it can be replaced? (3 cylinder motor)

what motor???

there is a tensioner that you lossen the center nut, release the tension and tighten it up in the released position for re installing.
