Where are the timing marks on the 993cc three cylinder engine?
What tension are the head bolts tightened down to?

Cylinder head bolts are tightened in three steps to 40-47 ft. Lbs (54-64 n.M.). Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

What motor?
There is a tensioner that you lossen the center nut, release the tension and tighten it up in the released position for re installing.
