1982 Honda Prelude Would One M About Buy 82 Starter Stuck Wondering

I would like to know if any one can help me. I'm about to buy an 82 prelude but the starter is stuck. I was wondering if tapping it with a hammer or screw driver would work and where the starter is located and that years model?

yes, tap with a hammer/

back of motor. follow the positive battery cable to the solenoid.

You should be able to see it on top of the transmission near firewall.

The main body, black area if possible. Do not tap on the solenoid.
