1982 Chevrolet Truck shifting while running

was driving truck when on/off gas pedal shifter would jump. found NO bell-housing to trans bolts. replaced bolts now I cant shift into gear while vehicle is running.

if the shifter goes right into trans, remove it and see if it is hung up inside or the linkage outside. you may have lost the piece that supports the clutch shaft going across so it 'snot pushing clutch in far enough as well. where the arrow points on pic there should be a ball that either bolts to frame or engine and that may be missing.
