How do you bleed brakes

The master cylinder has two little pump handles

Master cylinders do not have pump handles, are you sure that you are looking at the brake master? To bleed brakes press pedal and open bleeder on caliper, lift pedal and close, do this at each wheel until no air and keep fluid level up in resiviour as you bleed.
