Why does my 1981 Ford F150, with the 4.9L inline 6, stall out when decelerating or coming to a stop?

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure first. If carbed it may need an overhaul due to alcoholl in todays fuel

Might want to pull your spark plugs and if they need replaced I would go ahead and get a new set of ignition wires along with a new coil and cap and rotor after I did this my half ton has been running fine
