madeline harder, the ratio should be stamped on a tag in the differential cover, I have found on Fords, along with other numbers, the ratio is usually against the bolt hole in the tag (sorta hard to see, a wire brush and a bright flashlight are always a plus) Hope that fixes you up, and a missing tag is not the reason you are here!--The Medic
