1979 Ford F 250 Battery Keeps Dying Truck Will Run Unhooked Charging Just Right

My battery keeps dying but the truck will run with the battery unhooked so it charging just not charging the battery right ? S at this point I'm thinking the voltage regulator isn't telling it to charge

Try this disconnect the voltage regulator and jumper the A to F, voltage increase replace the voltage regulator no increase replace the allty
