cranking problem

i been trying to get my truck to run. it will run as long as the starter is engaged when i let off the switch it goes dead. so i crossed out the solenoid it will run as long as the starter is engaged .so i run a hot wire from the battery to the positive side of the coil it does the same thing. i put a new Ignition Control Module
and it does the same thing!!!! so i am stumped any help will greatly be appreciated!!!

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A BAD KEY SWITCH. IT MUST MAINTAIN POWER TO RUN AFTER YOU LET OFF OF THE KEY SWITCH. THAT MAY BE YOUR PROBLEM.
