what can i do to make it get better fuel milage.but still have pulling power. cam?, carb?, intake?, coils?, ign?, distrib?

Honestly, I have a 78 and nothing ever worked. Some people say just replacing the air filter with an K&N helps, but I didn't see any change. The truck wasn't really designed for fuel economy. If you start changing to performance cams, carb... it will make it worse.
